THE HEIGHTS CHAMBER PLAYERS

For special ceremonies or quieter gatherings, The Heights Chamber Players provides the perfect atmosphere. Conservatory-trained and active in New York’s classical music circles, their sound is absolutely beautiful, absolutely elegant.

Our harpist, Marion, is also available for those same kinds of occasions. Her music is utterly fantastic and could indeed serve as the center of attention, or as a tasteful background, depending on your needs.

 

Violin Duo

Lauren Cauley

Described as “simply amazing” and “spellbinding” for her performance at the Rochester Fringe Festival, New York City-based violinist Lauren Cauley enjoys a diverse career performing frequently in the U.S. and Europe. She has appeared at venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Rodolfinum in Prague, and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Her playing has been heard on radio WRUR 88.5, ORF Radio Wien, and see on television CBS Broadcasting. 

Lauren received her BM and MM in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music, where she served as Teaching Assistant to Charles Castleman. Additional studies include being awarded a Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst to study at the Bauhaus Universität in Weimar, Germany, and a semeser at the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Austria. 

 

Molly Germer

New York-based violinist Molly Germer is an accomplished performer, and successful entrepreneur in the performing arts. Molly has served as a member of the Erie Philharmonic and as the concertmaster of the Eastman Philharmonia, and appears with other notable ensembles, including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Ensemble Signal. She has received fellowships at internationally acclaimed festivals, such as the Lucerne Festival Academy, Bang On a Can, Chautauqua Orchestral Institute, and the Castleman Quartet Program. She is co-director of the Sound Exchange Project, a community arts organization known for its collaborations with the Rochester Institute of Technology and ROCmusic.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Charles Castleman. Currently, she is in the Contemporary Performance Master’s Program at the Manhattan School of Music.

Marion

Marion, native to Paris, France, is quickly establishing a reputation as a versatile artist. Equally at home as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral performer, she has impressed critics with her "ravishing" playing. (Voce di Meche). 

Marion has had the opportunity to play as a soloist and chamber musician in France, Italy, Japan, and the United States. She has been a guest soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra, the Violin d'Ingres Orchestra, and the Vincennes Orchestra. As a chamber musician she has collaborated with the Ensemble Calliopée. In orchestral settings, she as performed with the Paris National Opera Orchestra, Ensemble Intercontemporian, and the Pasdeloup Orchestra. Marion's extensive experience in New Music includes premiering notable works at the Focus! Festival and Odysée de la Harp Festival, and performing with the Ensemble Acouphene. 

Marion holds a Bachelor's Degree from the Paris Conservatory, a Master's Degree from the Juilliard School of Music, and is Currently in the prestigious Juilliard Artist Diploma Program.
